Wellness Wednesdays: A Mid-Week Market Option

If you find yourself in need of additional produce come mid-week or are somewhat intimidated by the City Market’s crowds on Saturdays and Sundays, the Wednesday Farmers’ Market is the perfect opportunity to replenish your fresh fruits and veggies at a comfortable pace.  Starting May 6, the Wednesday Farmers’ Market will take place every week and an expanded health and wellness program will take place the first Wednesday of each month from 10 am – 2 pm.  Be sure to mark your calendar, don’t miss Wellness Wednesdays!

During Wellness Wednesdays your will find:
· Valuable health and wellness screenings for adults and children
· Useful information from area community organizations
· Fresh locally grown produce from nearby farms
· SNAP/EBT cards and WIC vouchers accepted
· Fast, convenient lunch options for budget conscious shoppers
· Each month 100 shoppers will receive a FREE City Market Shopping Bag.
· Conveniently located!  Take the MAX or ATA Bus Line
· Free Parking  
If your schedule prevents you from attending Wellness Wednesday on the first Wednesday of the month, don’t worry.  Fresh, locally grown produce will be available every Wednesday during the regular Farmers’ Market, just note the health component is exclusive to the first Wednesdays each month.  For more information about Wellness Wednesdays, call the City Market Office at 816-842-1271 or email Stephanie Spatz-Ornburn at
